A Turning Point  New Online Sign-Up for Events

A new, more user-friendly signup system started on September 30. To be able to use the new system, everyone needs to create a new account by doing the following:

Go to https://portal.soxbox.co/pantry/a-turning-point-kc and register as a ‘New Client.’ In registering, there is only one event to register for: Monday, October 6, at 8am. This is a FAKE SESSION that IS ONLY USED FOR CREATING A NEW ACCOUNT.

A ‘SoxBox’ dropdown will appear for you to verify your email.

There will then be a short Google form dropdown for you to complete.

After you complete these steps, you will be registered in the new system and will be able to make reservations. Registered guests can make registrations any time after 9am on Monday for one of these food events during that week:

  • Tuesday 4:45-7:00 pm food pantry

  • Thursday 4-5pm food box distribution

  • Saturday 8:15-10:30 food pantry

A Turning Point  New Thursday Food Box Distribution

A Turning Point is creating a way to serve guests who find it difficult to get food in person in the pantry. Thirty registered guests can sign up for and pick up food boxes each week.

Guests who register for food boxes will select the items they would like on a list of items ATP normally has. Obviously, it may not be possible for ATP to always provide the exact items as ATP’s inventory of pantry items is always changing. However, ATP will do its best to provide as much as possible!

Important things to note:

Guests who have their plans change and are unable to keep their reservation are asked to cancel their registration so that others will have  the opportunity to shop. For Tuesday and Thursday pantries, no call/no shows will have their availability paused for two weeks. For Thursday food box pickup, no shows will be put on a no-show list and will no longer be able to pick up a box.

To avoid being on the no-show list, registrations must be canceled before 8am on the day of the event; to cancel,  email smccarthy@aturningpointkc.org and write CANCEL BOX in the subject line.
