COVID-19 Update : The Academy is currently closed.
May 4, 2020 Update:
We will do a modified re-opening of the Academy beginning on Wednesday May 20th. The Academy will only be open on Wednesdays until further notice. Our goal is to have the Thursday day session available as soon as possible. The Tuesday session will not be available until we fully re-open.
Modified Academy Policies:
Only 2 students will be allowed in the Academy at a time.
Each student will be given 15 minutes allowing them to turn in completed work, pick up new packets of work to do at home, and schedule tests that are needed.
If there are more than 2 students in the building, they will need to wait in the lobby until a spot opens up.
Tests will be given via appointment only. We will schedule and proctor test taking in the dining hall, which is larger, this will allow us to accommodate more students.
Students will sign in the foyer and be required to wear a mask (one will be provided if you don't have your own).
A Turning Point Academy offers a chance for motivated adults to earn a high school diploma.
State-standard curriculum will be used to fulfill all credits necessary with a high school diploma issued upon completion of program.
This diploma will enable technical school, community college or university acceptance. There is no charge for these services.
To enroll, no appointment is needed; simply attend one of the sessions listed below. Your most recent high school transcript and photo ID is required for enrollment. If you cannot bring transcript with you, we will request one from previous school (this does, however, delay beginning the program).
