Volunteers Don and Roger pick up the donation; when they arrive at the building, they are joined by others to unload the six or seven pallets of food that they picked up.

By the time the truck arrives, other volunteers have arrived, and the busy and well-organized activity begins.

The boxes contain a variety of items; volunteers open the boxes one by one and sort the items inside the boxes.

Sorted items are put into boxes that the volunteers have prelabeled (candy, breakfast bars, chips, mac & cheese, etc.).

As the boxes of sorted items fill, volunteers take them to the pantry storage area where the items can be put on the shelves in the pantry where client’s shop!

Community Partner –

Feed the Children

A Turning Point has the relationship with CVS because of ATP being a partner with Feed the Children. Feed the Children, established in 1979 and headquartered in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, is a non-profit organization focused on alleviating childhood hunger.

Knowing that  it takes groups working together to make a difference in the lives of children everywhere, Feed the Children has a network of more than five hundred community partners across the United States.

Feed the Children selects its partners based on specific criteria, including the partner's capacity to distribute resources efficiently and their alignment with their mission to end hunger.

Feed the Children is connected to CVS through a longstanding partnership aimed at supporting communities.

"Our partnership with A Turning Point has been a beacon of hope in the community,” said Tamara Sandberg, vice president of U.S. Mission Impact. “Their commitment to provide vital food, essentials and help where it’s needed the most aligns with our mission, and together, we continue to strive to make a greater impact."
